DEMARICE

Demarice began her journey in filmmaking as an animator, studying character animation. She developed her skills under instructors Steve Segal (A Bug's Life) of Pixar Animation and Virginie D'Annoville (Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith) of Industrial Light & Magic, utilizing their guidance and feedback on each of her projects to grow as an artist and character animator.

Intrigued by filmmaking in general, she delved into creating live action films. Her first collaboration in this medium began with creating the gritty punk aesthetic as a production designer for Trevor Juenger's action packed pilot webisode Dope. She worked closely with the director and producer to translate the derelict and rough textured world from script to screen.

Throughout her years in university, she began focusing on directing her own pieces while assisting on crew for other productions, such as Catherine Dudley Rose's feature film Parallel Chords and NBC's television talent show The Voice

Demarice recently wrapped on production for her latest project Corporeal Creatures starring the talented Kazia Steele (Ride or Die) and has reunited with Trevor Juenger on a brand new feature film—starring Bill Oberst (Take This Lollipop) and Frankie Ray (The Sarah Silverman Program)—as a production designer. The Botanist was a finalist at the 2017 Rome Film Awards.
